Music fans in the Liverpool area should get ready for a visit from the Walden Chamber Players this weekend.
Five members of the 12-man group that hails from Boston are going to be performing in a show put on by the Syracuse Friends of Chamber Music. It will feature an oboe player, a pianist, and three members of the strings section. They will be playing pieces by Turina, Klughardt, Mozart, and Brahms.
The Walden Chamber Players came together in 1997 with the mission of emphasizing the importance of music - specifically chamber music - through their performances and educational presentations. Having a group of 12 musicians allows them to provide a variety of different arrangements at each performance.
Organizers for this event might turn to brochure printing companies to help them create programs for the performance. Programs allow the audience to read the biographies of the performers and learn more about them, while also providing advertising space for the venue to generate some extra income who local companies who wish to make themselves known.
The performance will take place this Saturday, May 3, at 7:30 in the evening, at the Lincoln Middle School in Syracuse, New York. General admission is $20, but there is a special senior price of $15 and a student price of $10.
