For the second year in succession, 2Sisters4Life, Inc. will be hosting a joint walk and 5K run in order to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer.
The organization focuses primarily on raising awareness about the disease and its treatment among minority women and the less privileged.
The non-profit was founded by Denika and Dory Lundy, sisters who were both affected by breast cancer a short time of each other. Though Dory did not survive the disease, Denika continues to run the organization.
The event will officially kick off with a ceremony acknowledging any breast cancer survivors who are present. The 5K run, which will cut through Onondaga Lake Park, will start at 10:00 am, and the one-mile family walk will start half an hour later. There will be other activities like a DJ performance and 50/50 raffle as well.
Organizers and promoters for this event may turn to Print companies in the Liverpool, New York area to create advertising materials like Posters or Flyers. Distributing these items can only help to raise awareness for the event and increase the number of participants.
The 2Sisters4Life run will take place on Saturday, September 27. There is a $35 registration fee for those participating in the race and a $30 registration fee for those taking part in the walk.
