The Liverpool Turkey Trot is set to return on Thanksgiving Day at Onondaga Lake Park.
This festive event invites participants of all ages, including runners, walkers, children, and pets, to come together for a morning of activity and community support.
The Liverpool Turkey Trot is a major Central New York tradition that has grown significantly. It started with 124 runners, however, this year it is expected to have over 2,100 participants. Proceeds from the event will benefit community-focused initiatives.
Starting at 8:15 am, the "Fast Feet" kid’s run will kick off the day, followed by the 5-mile and 5-K runs at 9:15 am, and a dog walk at 9:30 am. Participants will enjoy craft beer and coffee after the races.
Registration is available online through the official event listing. Attendees should note that prices will go up after October 21st. For those who prefer the online option, virtual races will be offered from November 27 through December 4. The virtual run will allow participants to complete runs and share their times online at their convenience.
For additional details, attendees can call Lynn Hy at (315) 437-1899 ext. 247.
