Workshop helps keep Hewlett hearts healthy

Heart disease can impact just about anyone, but the attendees in a Hewlett workshop will walk away with knowledge they can use to keep their heart healthy.

The Healthy Heart 101: Eat for a Stronger Heart will focus on how dietary choices can make a big difference, and it will be offered in-person only. Nutritionist John Michel, MS will be the facilitator for the afternoon class, which will take place at the Hewett-Woodmere Public Library.

During the session, Michel will review how making smart food choices can be both tasty and friendly to the cardiovascular system. It will break the science down into so it is easy to understand, and when they head home, everyone will have a set of actionable tips. It may be of interest to those who want to prevent heart problems as well as anyone currently living with one.

Workshops and other educational activities may present a lot of information, and organizers often turn to local brochure printing companies to supply them with Copies of learning materials. They can also provide promotional Pens for note taking during the session.

This introduction to tasty and heart-healthy eating will run from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Saturday, April 30. Those interested do not need to register ahead of time, as it will be a drop-in session.
