Wire wrapping techniques can be used to create a variety of decorative pieces, and these will be introduced to the registrants in an upcoming workshop.
The Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library will be offering an introduction to the art of wire wrapping, and everyone who Signs on for the session will discover how relaxing the practice can be. Each participant will craft their own tree of life sculpture they can take home to display, and the materials needed will be provided.
The instructor for the workshop will distribute the silver toned wire, turquoise stones, and other materials for the activity, and they will the walk the learners through the process of creating the “trunk” for their tree. They will then move on to sculpting techniques so they can shape the branches before they set them with tumbled turquoise stones. The tree will be affixed to a natural wooden base before it is finished and made ready to display.
Libraries often host workshops and other learning activities, and a flyer printing company can lend a hand at promoting them to the public without breaking the bank. If needed, their graphic design team can prepare them from scratch, and they may be printed on brightly colored paper stocks that will help them grab the viewer's attention.
