An elegant afternoon that harks back to an English afternoon tea party will be pouring for a cause near Hewlett this October, and those on its guestlist will be doing a good turn for those fighting breast cancer.
Lynbrook Kiwanis has partnered with the Lynbrook Library to host an afternoon that will raise awareness about the disease, and its agenda includes an assortment of educational and fun activities. Admission will be $20, and each guest is encouraged to show their support and solidarity by adding a touch of pink to their outfit.
While attendees sip on the refreshments provided, they can meet and mingle with the other guests. They can learn from one another as well as from the presentation by the Maurer Foundation, and everyone can discover some of the resources available in their own home area. There will be opportunities to network and exchange Business Cards, and there will be displays set up by community partners. Along with the rest of the activities, there will be raffle draws.
Organizing a community information event may include ordering materials to distribute, including programs. A brochure printing company will be happy to present a variety of options at various price points.
Lynbrook Kiwanis Club and the Lynbrook Public Library will be teaming up to offer this afternoon of sipping, sharing information, and showing support for those with breast cancer on Saturday, October 3 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
