Hewlett is set to spring into the summer festival season with an event filled with carnival-style fun.
The free Arts Below Sunrise music and S.T.E.A.M. festival will be filled with activity options for almost every age. Many members of the area's business community will be taking part.
The fun will be set up on Broadway in Hewlett, and as well as the carnival games and rides, the public will be able to enjoy hands-on activities. Everyone may enjoy the planetarium show as well as the live music and dance demonstrations, and a petting zoo will introduce some new furry and feathery friends. They can admire the works of local artists, and the Tech Mobile will be on site. Robotics demonstrations, a presentation by the area's Fire Department, and other educational activities are also on the agenda. Food, a crafter’s market, and health screenings will round out the festivities.

Arts Below Sunrise will be bringing the fun to Hewlett on May 19, running from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. It is being organized by the Hewlett-Woodmere Business Association.
