Hewlett residents invited to Childrens Fall Festival
The upcoming Queens County Farm Museum festival offers fun for all ages.
The historic Queens County Farm Museum sits on the largest tract of continuously farmed acreage in the state of New York. The location has been in use since the 17th Century and offers guests a look at farm life today and from years past. Admission to the museum is free on any day other than during planned public events. The fall festival is an opportunity for families to see the location and have a fun day together.
The festival will include hayrides, a corn maze, and a haunted house. Also planned are pig races, a petting zoo, and live country music. Children can have their photo taken with cartoon character lookalikes, so parents can plan to have an order at their local print shop after the lively and colorful event. The ConEdison Ecology booth offers composting and recycling tips, as well as kids’ crafts.
Admission to the festival is $20 per person and includes most events. There is no admission fee for children two and younger. Advance tickets available at the Eventbrite website. Guests should bring cash for the food vendors that will be on site all day, as well as the additional activities taking place. Wheelchair accessibility is available on the grounds, corn maze and restrooms.
The Children’s Fall Festival is on October 28th from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Queens County Farm Museum is at 73-50 Little Neck Parkway in Floral Park.
