What's Happening in Hewlett, NY…

Hewlett residents invited to popular holiday event

The 28th Annual Long Island Festival of Trees, benefiting the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County, takes place in just a few days

The popular three-day event begins again with trees, gifts, and much more to enjoy. Hundreds of professionally decorated trees will be on display and available for purchase, along with wreaths and many other decorations.

The festival includes live entertainment from local performers, visits from Santa, and cookie decorating classes. Plenty of holiday gift shopping opportunities also abound thanks to the many vendors expected to be in attendance. The museum gift shop will be open during the festival and admittance to the museum is included with admission to the festival.

The festival takes place from November 24 to 26 at The Cradle of Aviation Museum on Charles Lindbergh Boulevard in Garden City and is open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Friday and Saturday, and 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday. Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for children age 2 -12, and free for anyone age two and under. Discounts are available for museum members. All proceeds from the event are donated to the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County, and tickets can be bought via the website.

Business owners interested in becoming a vendor at the event next year or sponsoring this festival can contact the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County for more information, and may wish to spread the word of this important charitable event in any newsletter printing.
