Hewlett public school programs to be supported by fair
The sixth annual Arts Below Sunrise S.T.E.A.M Fest, a family event that helps to provide funding for local school enrichment programs, is on the horizon.
Artists of all types will be out in the streets of Hewlett, along with food and craft vendors and much more. The Arts Below Sunrise is an annual event designed to help raise funds for the Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools Endowment Fund (HWPSEF). The fund is used to help pay for programs at all public Hewlett-Woodmere schools that would otherwise need to be cut due to budget constraints. This includes programs in science, technology, and art.
The festival is open to all and will include live music and dancers, art demonstrations, and many interactive activities. There will be two stages where performances from professional and local artists will showcase their talents, as well as technology exhibits, robotic demonstrations, and a gaming truck on site. Food and crafts will be available for purchase.
Businesses that would like to support this program by sponsoring the event can visit the festival website for more information. The organization expects over 3,000 families to attend, so this is a great opportunity to bring promotional products and meet many new prospective customers while also helping out the community.
The festival will take place on Sunday, September 17 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There is no admission charge and everyone is welcome. It will be held at 1125 Broadway in Hewlett, and the road will be closed to all traffic during the event.
