Hewlett library to host lecture on Gothic architecture

Anybody who would like to gain a better understanding of Gothic architecture can attend a lecture this October at the Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library.

The Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library is inviting Thomas Germano to give a presentation about Gothic architecture as part of its art lecture series. The informational session will focus on the Notre Dame while giving attendees a lesson on the history of the Gothic style of architecture. Organizers who host presentations such as this can use brochure printing to provide students with additional portable information they can bring home.

Thomas Germano is a man who has taught at multiple institutions, like Farmingdale State College, Nassau Community College, and Yale University. Germano has been giving free lessons at libraries throughout New York since 1989. He has traveled throughout Europe and even teaches an annual class there about renaissance art history. Germano is also a successful artist who has pieces in numerous public collections.

The artistic lecture on Gothic architecture will be held on October 3 from 1:00 pm to 2:15 pm. The lesson will be held in the Gold Hall at the Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library. There is no registration required to attend the presentation, and the lecture will be free for everybody to see. Those interested in other events held at the library can check the calendar of events listed online.
