Hewlett library to host cover band performance
The Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library in New York will be featuring the James Taylor cover band Copperline this June.
The band Copperline has been covering James Taylor songs since its initial formation in 2010. Norman Vincent is the band leader and provides the lead vocals while playing the acoustic guitar. He is supported by a group of talented musicians and singers that help during concerts. Copperline aims to give guests performances that closely replicate actual shows by James Taylor, including both popular hits from Taylor’s music career, as well as lesser known tracks for die-hard fans.
Copperline has a history at performing at various venues around New York, including the YMCA at Boulton Center. The band played at the facility to help support the Long Island Cares organization, which is a charitable foundation that benefits local food banks throughout New York. Vincent helped produce the show with his company Norman Vincent Productions. Vincent believes that Copperline is an extension of Taylor’s beliefs in regards to socially conscious issues.
Anyone interested in attending Copperline’s concert at the Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library can begin registering on May 22. The library will be using ticket printing services to provide tickets to those who register for the event. The performance will be held during the following month on June 6. While tickets are required for admission, they will be free for the public.
