Hewlett holds Memorial Day parade

Hewlett will be gathering to offer a salute to its veterans, currently serving members, military families, and those who never made it home by hosting a special event in honor of Memorial Day.

The communities will be hosting their annual Memorial Day Parade. It will take to the streets starting at Woodmere Firehouse, which can be found at 20 Irving Place in Woodmere. The Hewlett Woodmere Business Association is both sponsoring and organizing the event, and the community is encouraged to get involved.

Local vets, active duty military personnel, National Guard members, first responders, and school and civic organizations will all be marching in the parade, and a signup form has been created so that everyone who would like to take part can do so. The procession will wind up at Hewlett High School, where there will be music and a barbecue lunch.

The organizers of the event have put out a call seeking a high school student to make a YouTube video of the event, and this may count towards community service hours. A banner printing company can be a valuable partner when planning a parade or other activity, as it can prepare Signs and Banners for the marchers to carry, signup Forms, thank-you certificates for the volunteers, and other custom materials.

The 2025 Hewlett-Woodmere Memorial Days Parade will hit the street on Monday, May 26. It will start at 9:00 am.
