Hewlett golfers invited to extend their season
A golf outing scheduled for the Hewlett area had to be pushed back due to bad weather, but the good news is that there may still be spots open for additional players.
The charity of choice for the 3rd annual Golf Outing will be the Anchor Program Fund. This not-for-profit organization works to make life better for community members with special needs, and the Rockville Centre Links will be the course hosting the event.
The function will follow the same schedule and format as was originally planned, and it will open with breakfast and registration. Everyone can spend some time on the practice range, and there will be a shotgun start. Lunch will be served, and at the end of the day, there will be a cocktail mixer with light bites on offer for the enjoyment of the crowd, so everyone can mix and mingle.
During the cocktail party portion of the day, awards will be presented to the top players, and there will also be a raffle draw for corporate gifts and other prizes. Everyone who plans on attending the activity is asked to wear proper golf attire.
