Hewlett families offered learning opportunity
Hewlett kids will be on a school break during the holiday season, and a local museum has a program in place that will keep them entertained and learning even when they are not in class.
The Science Museum of Long Island has created an initiative that offers kids a chance to engage in system-based learning. For December, the theme will be “Amazing Anatomy.” The participants will be making discoveries about the human body and how it functions. Intended for youngsters ages four and up, parents or guardians do not have to remain on site.
The participants will be grouped by age, and each child will be offered an opportunity to participate in age-appropriate activities. This session will explore the senses and how they interpret the world, and each attendee will be encouraged to discover what their body can be capable of. All registrants are asked to bring along a packed lunch, and they will all go home with a craft they have made themselves.
Organizing an activity for the younger set may be a lot easier with assistance from a printing services company. It can prepare everything from activity sheets to award certificates, all of which may incorporate custom graphic design elements
Scheduled for December 28, the day will begin at 10:00 am, and the venue is located at 1526 North Plandome Road in Manhasset.
