What's Happening in Hewlett, NY…

Hewlett area to welcome fall with community festival

As we welcome the fall season to Hewlett, an upcoming activity is on the way for the area to get the season started in style.

Franklin Square Museum recently announced it will be running its Fall Festival and Garage Sale. In previous years, the event has attracted hundreds of visitors to the town. Admission will be free for anyone interested in attending.

The celebration, which will be set up on the museum’s grounds, will boast a wide assortment of vendor tables. They can browse through handmade crafts, which may be a great gift idea for someone on their holiday list; there will also be a number of used garage sale items for people to browse through. Pumpkins will be on offer for purchase, and there will even be plants for sale along with food. A selection of activities are on offer for kids to enjoy, while a raffle draw will round out the day.

The pleasant days of early autumn can be well suited to outdoor celebration. These activities may call for sturdy custom designed decor that won't be damaged by the elements. These kinds of items are often available for ordering at a local banner printing company.

This warm welcome to the fall festival season is scheduled for September 23rd, and its rain date will be September 30th. The museum is located at 861 Naple Avenue in Franklin Square. The fun is set to take place from 10:00am until 4:00pm.
