Hewlett adults still have time to join an artist-led watercolor class
A free class is being offered by Harlem freelance painter and filmmaker Ashton Agbomenou, and is open to all area adults.
Attendees can get creative and learn a few new skills from a professional artist this winter. During the watercolor class, Agbomenou will teach the students the basics of image rendering using color, shape, and lines. The artist is professionally trained and attended the High School of Art & Design, the Art Students League of New York, and the Rhode Island School of Design.
All attendees are invited to bring along an image they would like to recreate during the class. Hewlett entrepreneurs can even bring in their own sketches or other artwork they wish to turn into a logo design, or develop into a graphic design project. They can discover how to enhance these images with watercolors or become inspired to create something entirely unique.
There are still two adult-only classes remaining, and all guests are welcome to reserve a spot in each class. The classes are this Saturday, February 10, and again on March 10 from 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm. The class is offered in a partnership with the Art Students League of New York and will take place at the Al Oerter Recreation Center at 131-40 Fowler Avenue in Queens. Visit Eventbrite to reserve a space and call (212) 360-1430 to enquire about accessibility information.
