Halloween events are abundant in Rockville Center
Rockville Center, just a short distance from Hewlett, is holding several special events later this month.
The Sandel Senior Center is always humming with activity as members enjoy a wide variety of programs and activities along with many opportunities for volunteering. It will be holding a Giant Flea Market on October 23.
Then, the annual Ragamuffin parade and Halloween Party will kick off at 2:00 pm on Sunday October 25. It will begin on the north side of Sunrise Highway at Paring Lot #5 and then continue on Long Beach Road before finishing at the Recreation Center. The Recreation Center will be filled with goblins and ghosts, and various games and other activities.
There will be awards given for costumers in several age groups. Children of all ages and their families are invited to participate in the parade, and there is a small fee to register in advance to participate in the parade.
Finally, there will be a party to be held at the MLK Community Center from 4:00 to 5:30 pm on Friday, October 30. Everyone in the community is invited to wear their best costume.
The town of Rockville Center uses newsletter printing to print out a bimonthly newsletter covering community and village news, news from the Department of Recreation, and information about the various events scheduled in the community.
