Contest to discover best Hewlett-area meatball
The 6th Annual Meatball Contest at Jetty Bar and Grill is seeking out the most delicious recipe in the area for this popular Italian creation.
Any Hewlett-area resident with a secret family meatball recipe, or their own recent concoction, now has the chance to prove the superiority of their ware. The organizers of the event want only Italian-style meatballs for this contest, and the best three entrants will win prizes and praise for their efforts.
The contest is open to budding caterers and chefs that want the title of Best Meatball for their brochure printing, or home cooks that just want bragging rights. The first-place winner in the event receives a trophy, $200 in cash, and a $50 gift card. The second place earns the contestant a trophy too, as well as a $50 cash prize and a variety of gift cards from local businesses. Third prize winner walks away with a wine basket, a trophy, and two gifts cards.
