Charity to hold annual golf and tennis fundraiser
The Rockville Centre Breast Cancer Coalition in Hewlett will hold its first “Annual Golf and Tennis Outing” in June.
Rockville Centre was founded by Erin O’Sullivan and Peg McDonald to support anyone fighting breast cancer. Proceeds from the event will go towards the organization’s programs and resources. Participants can also exchange business cards with organizers for future fundraising opportunities.
At the fundraiser, entrants can enjoy some games of golf, tennis, or both. Regardless of which option participants choose, the event will come with accompanying breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If entrants want to enjoy the dinner reception only, there is an option to skip the sports outings. All participants will adhere to social distancing and other COVID-19 guidelines throughout the event.
The fundraiser will also feature an optional cash raffle. Anyone who partakes in the raffle will have a chance to win cash prizes throughout the event. Entry into the raffle is $25 per person or $100 for a group of five.
The event will take place on June 21 between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Tickets are $450 for golfing and $200 for tennis. If guests just want to partake in the dinner, tickets are $175. June 14 is the deadline for all ticket purchases. The event location is the Seawane Golf Club on 1300 Club Drive.
