Vets to be guest of honor at Flemington fundraiser

An opportunity for the community to support its veterans and have fun doing it will be taking over Flemington’s Schafer Farms.

The music and other entertainment will begin in the afternoon and continue on until the evening hours, and the whole family is welcome to join in the party.

At least five groups will take to the stage for the Rock and Blues Festival and fun in the sun will be the order of the day. The proceeds will be donated to Vet Rest and Rebuilding Warriors – two organizations that recognize that former service members and their families often need additional support.

While the music lovers in the crowd take in the performances, the kids can meet and cuddle with the animals in the petting zoo. An assortment of food trucks will keep everyone well fed, and the adults can stop by the beer and wine tent.

Early bird tickets are now on sale for the fundraiser, and a special discount is on offer for veterans, as they will be taking pride of place in the celebration. Posters can be placed throughout the community to keep draw attention to an event like this, and a poster printing company can be called upon to supply them.

This year’s Rock and Blues Festival for Veterans has been scheduled for September 7. Ticket holders are welcome to begin arriving for the festivities at 1:00 pm.
