Flemington bargain hunters, upcyclers and those who just need some “retail therapy” are invited to come to an event that will give them a chance to browse through some of the area’s second hand and vintage stores with vintage expert Bridgett Artise.
The Born Again Vintage Thrifting Trip will make stops at nine different spots in the local area. These include typical thrift style stores, high-end vintage shops, hidden treasures, and blue bins, some of which will be offering special discounts to the participants. Those who are interested in taking part are welcome to bring along a bagged or boxed lunch, as well as snacks, but are reminded that as space is limited, they should try to bring as few extras as possible with them.
An upcycling workshop will also be offered in conjunction with the thrifting trip. A company that provides printing services can supply maps of the retail locations, Brochures, and other printed items for events such as these.
The group of shoppers will meet at 100 Reaville Road in Flemington at 8:00 am on October 1. From there, they will head out together, returning at 6:00 pm. The workshop for those who wish to upcycle their finds will take place on October 22. Tickets can be purchased for the trip, the workshop, or both.
