A grand opening celebration was recently held in Flemington to mark the initial broadcast of the state’s first ever internet TV/radio station.
The station operates out of The Flemington Car and Truck County Broadcast Center, which is currently the home of Jersey Talk Radio and located at 127 Main Street. On hand at the ribbon cutting ceremony were more than 65 guests who were given an opportunity to learn more about the station, and enjoy food that had been provided by Maddelena Catering.
The idea for the station came from Gerstner and Bruce Pearson. Pearson noted that the technology for the internet station is there, and he feels this provides an excellent opportunity to put it to good use. He further went on to say that this concept will be seen more and more in the future. All of the broadcasts will be live streamed on YouTube, and will be archived on the video streaming site so that people can go back and watch them should they wish to do so. Plans for the schedule range from sports, local news, politics, and also national content.
