At the Flemington Department Store in a few days, there will be a Meet and Greet will be held to acquaint the public with greyhound rescue and adoption.
Hosted by the New Jersey Greyhound Adoption Program (NJGAP), the event will feature volunteers and their greyhounds, and attendees may ask questions about the breed and their suitability as pets.
The Hunterdon County based New Jersey Greyhound Adoption Program was founded in 1993 and has rescued over 2,500 of the breed. Attending the Meet and Greet will be ‘Sassy Nina’, a sweet female greyhound who is up for adoption. The program has a website and Facebook page, which features photos and bios of dogs that are available for adoption. However, the organization feels nothing can replace meeting these companion animals in person.
The chances of pulling in a large crowd for an event such as this one are highly dependent on the choice of, and commitment to, its advertising. A banner printing service can often provide the most cost-efficient means of informing and reminding the public of such an upcoming event.
The Meet and Greet takes place from noon to 3:00 pm this Saturday, July 18. In addition to its online presence and events such as this one, the NJGAP also provides ‘The Greyhound Story’, which is an interactive presentation available to groups and organizations.
