Flemington has developed a new brand that it hopes will attract tourists and other visitors to the area.
The borough’s tourist adviser, Roger Brooks, remarked that the new brand announces the fact that “healthy, creative and playful living” are goals that the area strives to provide for its residents, and also that is a great place to do business, visit or to call home.
The updated branding is aimed at all demographics and places the focus on the community’s downtown core.
To arrive at the new look, Roger Brooks, who is the chief executive officer for Roger Brooks International, consulted the public and other stakeholders. Surveys were designed and sent out to seek their opinions, and over 1,200 responses were received. Their answers helped to guide the process of developing the new brand vision.
To help market the area, Mr. Brooks suggested the slogan “Flemington Fresh”. Stationery printers can make use of its Logo Design skills to come up with a logo that meshes perfectly with this new catchphrase.
Along with his work in helping to rebrand the community, Mr. Brooks also developed ideas to help it live up to this new ideal. He suggested improving the area’s nightlife, developing a center square or other area where the community can gather for large events, a public market that operates all year round, public art and other beautification projects, affordable housing, and more.
Over the next few months, he will be working with the borough’s branding committee to develop an action plan to meet their goals.
