Flemington to raise its hand in support of good mental health

Flemington residents have been invited to participate in an event that will give them a chance to show their support and solidarity for those living with mental illness.

The Basil Bandwagon Natural Market will serve as the location for a fundraiser that will see henna artist Catherine Lent giving tattoos on people’s hands, palms, or lower arms. Various designs are available, and the cost for a 15-minute application session has been set at $25 each. From each design applied, $5 will be contributed to the Basil bandwagon’s team donation the Carrier Clinic’s Walk of Hope. This walk will seek to raise awareness about mental health and show support for those who are living with mental illness.

It was noted in the event listing that Lent is a talented artist and, along with henna tattoos, she is also well versed in fields like paper marbling and calligraphy. Flyer printing can be utilized to create effective marketing materials for a fundraising event such as this.
