Flemington’s Acres Away LLC will be hosting an Easter egg hunt with an unexpected twist.
The farm will be giving children and adults alike an opportunity to search for eggs and other hidden treats while on horseback. The kids will be hand-led on a gentle and experienced pony or horse on trials through the woods while they search for the eggs that have been placed among the trees. Parents can join in the ride or walk along to help search for the hidden treasures.
The older folk can also get in on the fun by participating in an hour long guided ride along one of the trails while they keep a sharp eye out for “big people” eggs, which will be filled with treats like chocolate and tester size bottles of alcoholic beverages. A company that supplies business Forms will be able to provide the owners of an establishment such as this with waivers and other documents for people to sign before they participate in one of the rides.
The cost for children to participate has been set at $20, while for the adults, it will be $55 each. This price also includes admission to the petting zoo. The rides will be available throughout March and April, but are by reservation only. Anyone who would like to do so can visit the community’s website for further information.
