Flemington‘s Main Street is home to a diverse mix of businesses, and they will be joining together to offer families some special Easter fun.
The commercial district has organized its first “Find your Peeps” activity, which will encourage locals to explore all it has to offer. To add an extra touch of whimsy to the experience, costumed characters will be circulating, and the starting point will be the Historic Courthouse.
When they arrive at 71 Main Street, participants can pick up their free map, and a bag printed with a graphic design to hold any treasure will be presented as well. The participating shops will be distributing treats and other prizes, and while the kids hunt for the hidden eggs and “peeps,” their parents can discover what makes each of Flemington’s downtown establishments special. Those who register in advance will receive an extra prize.
Hosting a public event can be a fun way for a community’s shopping district to introduce itself. It may prove helpful to organize these around a central theme, and a local banner printing company can lend a hand by supplying decor and other materials.
The first annual “Find Your Peeps” activity will be hosted by the Flemington Community Partnership on Saturday, March 30. It will begin at 1:00 pm, and tickets are still available at the time of writing.
