Children in the Flemington area will soon be offered a chance to use their senses to discover what local wildlife does to keep going, even in a winter storm.
Parents or caregivers are invited to bring their child to a workshop that has been specifically planned for kids between the ages of three and six. It will give these youngsters an opportunity to connect to the natural world through a variety of hands-on, age-appropriate activities, and they will even get to make a craft to take home.
The kids who participate in the two-hour long event will discover how local wildlife stays warm and dry even during some of the worst winter weather. They will find out how they conserve energy and make other adaptations to the cold. Parents are reminded that, as the activity will be held rain or shine, they should make sure their son or daughter is dressed appropriately.
Duke Farms will be acting as the host for this learning opportunity, and the admission price for each child is $5.
