The holidays have arrived, and folks in Flemington have been asked to remember that there is a gift they can give that can, quite literally, save a life.
The Flemington Elks Lodge will be hosting a Blood Drive, and as it will be held in the afternoon, those who wish to donate can enjoy some holiday relaxation before they make their contribution. A special “thank you” will be presented to each donor, and both walk ins and booked appointments are welcome.
During this blood drive, both whole blood and automated red cell collections will be made, and donors can select which one they wish to contribute. The New York Blood Center’s mobile collection team will be organizing this event, and it will be set up in in the meeting room at 164 New Jersey 31.
To thank those who choose to take time from their day to give the gift of life, each donor will receive a Dunkin Donuts card with a value of $5. Lapel pins, coffee Mugs, water bottles and other Promotional Products can also be offered as “thank yous” to those who participate in an occasion like this.
Flemington Elks Lodge is asking locals to support this event, and it usually takes very little time to make a donation. It has been scheduled for December 26, and New York Blood Center’s online portal can be used to book a timeslot.
