Flemington farm to host special celebration

Flemington’s Readington River Buffalo Farm has issued an invitation to the public in the local area to come out and see American bison roam freely.

The farm will be hosting its annual family day, and as a working farm that maintains its historical flavor, those who come out will have an opportunity to take a step back in time. There will be newborn bison calves to view, pony and wagon rides, and games and activities for the kids. Fresh food will be available for purchase, and adults can sample wines, browse through the craft and antique sale, buy a new plant for the garden and take part in the other activities that will be held throughout the day. A banner printing company can supply themed decorations for an event such as this.

In addition to all of the above, there will be live music, a display of military vehicles, a civil war encampment, exhibits about native Americans and cowboys, and a blacksmith demonstration. Attendees can try a buffalo burger, and those who are 21 and over can pay a visit to the Wild West-style saloon. Monies raised through the day will be donated to the Whitehouse Rescue Squad.

May 13 has been selected as the date for the Buffalo Watch Open House and Vendor Fair. Additional details can be found on its website listing.
