Flemington kids will be putting the final touches on their Halloween costume and heading out to be part of an activity that will celebrate the community's Main Street merchants.
The city will be welcoming the return of its Halloween Costume Parade and Contest, and it will be part of the larger Thursday Night Lights festivities, which will be following a seasonal theme. The children are asked to gather at the stage near Shaker Cafe, where they will receive their number so they can be part of the procession and costume competition.
There will be four different age categories for the activity, and a group costume selection is also in the works. As well as the fun for the younger set, the function will include a pet costume contest and also a food concession area and beer garden. Local performers will be supplying the entertainment.
