The 12th annual Opa! Festival will take place this September in Flemington, and vendors who wish to be included in its International Marketplace are being sought.
Organizers are currently planning the event, which was recently chosen by the Hunterdon Happening List as being the ‘Best Foodie Event’. It draws people from all over the state, and last year it saw thousands of visitors come out to enjoy all that it had to offer.
The main focus of the festival is to celebrate Greek food and culture, and vendors who create and sell jewelry, imported and specialty foods, accessories, home deco items, health and beauty aids, and souvenirs are invited to take part. The goal is to recreate an agora style market, which was popular in ancient Greece. American, Greek, and international items are all welcome.
Both outdoor and indoor locations are available, and those sellers who register for a spot by June 15 will receive a discount for doing so. The final date to sign up is August 1. Banners and other items that can be used to decorate the marketplace booths during festivals such as this can be produced by a printer.
The Opa! Festival will take place on September 9, 10, and 11 at 85 Voorhees Corner Road. Further details and an opportunity for vendors to complete their registration can be found on the event’s website.
