This holiday season, Flemington’s Grateful Bites will be hosting a fundraiser that will teach participants how to put their creative skills to work in making decorated treats. This is just one of the activities that will be included in the festivities.
The Yuletide Festival will give those who take part an opportunity to decorate either sugar cookies or a handmade gingerbread house. Santa himself has even decided to come out and brush up on his baking skills. Holiday Cards can be sent to households and businesses in the local area to let them know about an event such as this, which can help to ensure that it is a success.
The session will be facilitated by a pastry chef, and the gingerbread house and sugar cookies can be purchased for $10 each. Participants will be taught different decorating techniques and how to use an assortment of frosting tips. Photos with Santa can also be purchased for a $10 donation. A holiday brunch will be served, as will complimentary sweets and face painting, singing, and more.
Money raised through the festival will be used to help support Ability 2 Work, offers training and employment opportunities for members of the community with disabilities.
The yuletide Festival will be held at Flemington’s Grateful Bites on December 10 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. More details can be found by visiting the eatery’s website.
