Candyland Crafts is accepting reservations for seats in its two-day Buttercream Basics class. It will be hands on, and to ensure everyone has a good grounding in the techniques that will be taught, it will start with the fundamentals and go on from there.
Everyone who participates in the activity will gain experience using a piping bag and various tips for applying frosting to a cake, and they will be walked through the process of making a torte, filling and applying a crumb coat, and then icing their cake. They will be able to create design elements such as frosting shells, leaves, and flowers, and the next day they will be taught more complicated projects. The activity is intended for those age 14 and up.
Home bakers may appreciate an opportunity to hone their current skills and learn new ones, and a workshop offers them an opportunity to do so. Recipe cards, aprons, and other Promotional Products for an activity will be on offer at a local printing services company.
