Flemington area asked to give the gift of life

There is a need for blood donations all year round, and this holiday season, Flemington residents have been asked to consider adding one more gift to their holiday giving list.

The North County Branch Library in Clinton has teamed up with the American Red Cross to hold a Blood Drive in its Main Meeting Room. There will be two donation types available - blood and power red, the latter being a higher concentration of red blood cells.

The listing for the event explained that each contribution made can save more than one life, and all types of blood are in high demand. The process begins when the donor arrives, as they will undergo registration and a brief health check. If all is well, it will be time to roll up their sleeve and make their donation. They will then be invited to relax with some light refreshments before they head out for the rest of their day.

To thank everyone for helping out, donors will receive a Red Cross T-shirt for as long as supplies last. Corporate Gifts for an activity that have been printed with a group’s Logo Design can help to raise awareness of a cause, and can be obtained from area printers.

This opportunity for Flemington residents to potentially save a life will be running from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm on Monday, December 30. The registration process can be completed on the Red Cross’s website.
