Fleece filled festival on the way for Flemington

Sheep have been raised for centuries for their fleece, and a Flemington area festival will give the public a chance to learn more about how wool makes it from the farm to the yarn basket.

Hunterdon County Fairgrounds will act as the venue for this year’s Sheep and Fiber Festival, which has been taking place for more than 25 years. It is organized with assistance and support from the Garden State Sheep Breeders organization, and the general public is welcome to stop by and check it out in person.

The festival will run for two days, and it boasts an agenda filled with both learning and fun. The public can meet some friendly sheep, and they can also take in a show or demonstration, view exhibits, or sign up for a class. A variety of vendors will have products for sale, and there will even be sheep dogs on site, showing off their talents.

The organizers of the festival explained that it is made possible through the efforts of its volunteers and also community support. Recognizing these sorts of local partners in the Promotional Products used to market an event can be a simple way for an organization to thank them for their help.

This ovine weekend will be welcoming one and all on September 12 and 13, and it will be open to the public from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm on both days. More details about the celebration can be found on the Visit New Jersey website.
