Flemington wine fans, as well as visitors to the area, may want to hop aboard the Hunterdon Wine Train Express for a full day of exploring one of the state's vineyards and wine cellars.
The excursion will take place on several dates throughout the tourist season, and the route will go from Flemington to Old York Cellars in Ringoes. Boarding will take place at 80 Stangl Road, and the suggested dress for these rain or shine outings is casual with comfortable walking shoes.
Each passenger on the old-style train will have a chance to learn more about the winery and its history, and once it stops at Ringoes Station, a shuttle will transport the passengers to their destination. A guided wine tasting followed by an al fresco-style tented lunch has been scheduled, and it will then be time for the return trip to Flemington. Each ticket for the outing is $99.
Many communities have special activities on offer during the summer tourist season. Tourist guides can be prepared by brochure printing companies that give visitors to an area the inside scoop on all it has to offer.
The 2025 schedule for the Hunterdon Wine Express runs from April 26th to September 7th. Tickets may be reserved through its web listing, and guest check in and boarding will start at 11:15 am.
