Vendors from throughout the area are being invited to take part in the upcoming International Marketplace that will be part of the Flemington Opa! Festival.
This will be the 11th year for the event, which brings together people from all over central New Jersey. It usually attracts thousands, and people even come from Pennsylvania to experience the Greek food, culture, and fun geared towards the whole family.
The plans for the marketplace have been expanded to include everything from fashion accessories and jewelry to food, health and beauty products, home décor, art, handicrafts, and collectibles. The goal is to recreate the feel of an ancient Greek agora (open space) market, and items from the U.S., Greece, and other countries will all be welcome. Vendors will be able to choose from both indoor and outdoor spaces to set up shop and sell their wares, and printing companies can create any signage the sellers may wish to use to advertise their products or food.
The event is scheduled to take place from September 11 to 13 at the St. Anna Greek Orthodox Church. The final deadline to obtain a vending space is August 1, and a discount will be provided to those merchants who book their spot before May 15. Anyone who would like to get more information is invited to visit the event’s website or Facebook page.
