Wellness weekend invites families

A weekend of wellness promises to help families get their health back on track.

A range of health and well-being service providers, food trucks with various cuisines, and local vendors will be on display at the Englewood Family Wellness Weekend. The purpose is to promote general health and wellness in line with Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Hispanic Heritage Month.

Among the activities will be access to breast cancer services, healthcare resources, and a Wellness Coach’s Corner. People will be able to get flu shots and screenings offered free of charge. Also available will be self-care opportunities with some vendors providing massages while others organize kids’ games. Free health Checks will also be available, and vans will be on site conducting mobile screening.

During the Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, there will be performances by local bands such as Rey y Sus Eligago and Mensaje De Oro, as well as dance presentations. Attendees will have an opportunity to eat various types of Latin dishes and enjoy a live cooking presentation. Promotional Products could be shared at such an event.

The Englewood Department of Health, in partnership with the Hadnott Foundation, is set to host the event at Veterans Park in Englewood, New Jersey, on the October 5 and 6 weekend. The event will take place from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on both days.
