Historic armory hosts sports camp

An athletics camp will provide a chance for high school athletes in New Jersey to refine their skills under the guidance of top professionals in the sport.

The fall edition of the Armory Track and Field Camp is now open for registration. The biannual camp is intended to get high school track and field athletes ready for the indoor season. It also serves as a way of helping them sharpen their skills. Participants are trained by elite athletes, and experienced high school and college coaches.

The camp is split into two parts, with morning sessions and afternoon sessions. The athletes may sign up for different specialties, such as throws and hurdles, and may train with numerous instructors thanks to this double-session setup. Athletes who wish to attend both the morning and the afternoon sessions, or different event groups, need to register separately for each session. The coaches who will be conducting the sessions include record-holders such as Aries Merrit and Quincy Wilson.

Thanks to a partnership with Mondo Cares, there is a 50% discount available to 100 student-athletes who participate in the PSAL (Public Schools Athletic League). Sponsors like to have their Logo Design featured at such events.

The fall edition of the Armory Track and Field Camp is set for Sunday, November 17 at the historic Armory in Washington Heights, across the river from Englewood.
