Spectacular family fun in Edison
A major family event is coming up soon in Edison.
Edison’s Fall Family Spectacular, hosted by the Edison Recreation Department and the Township of Edison, literally has something for everyone. A special Kids Zone will feature the Kids Traveling Shindig where they will find face painting, inflatable kiddie rides, game trailers, sand art, and more.
Live entertainment will be found on two stages. The lineup is still being finalized, but the locations are set. The local stage will be on the corner of Amboy and Waltuma Avenues, and will provide the venue for local bands. Regional bands will appear on the main stage on 5th Street, and the recreation department will put on their annual wrestling demonstration.
Getting something to eat will be easy because food trucks will be a big part of the fun, as will food courts with booths where attendees can purchase everything from empanadas to ice cream. A wine and beer garden will be located at Waltuma and Amboy, near the local stage.
An event like this isn’t complete without craftspeople offering handmade products, and general merchandise sellers. Local merchants will also be on site, as will civic organizations.
The event is scheduled for September 23, from 1.00 pm until 9.00 pm, a change from the original time of 11.00 am until 10.00 pm. The fun stretches for eight blocks along Amboy Avenue between Jackson Avenue and Waltuma Avenue. Organizers of events like this can advertise using poster printing.
