Major expo returns to Edison

A popular event for rock lovers is returning to Edison this spring.

The mammoth New Jersey Mineral, Fossil, Gem & Jewelry Show will take over the New Jersey Convention & Exposition Center for five days. Organizers anticipate as many as 450 vendors may take part in the show, and believe there could be from 14,000 to 20,000 attendees, depending on the weather.

Among the vendors are The Interstellar Collection, LLC, Nharo African Art and Crafts, Inc., Land of Crystals, LLC, and Good Migrations Studio.

Activities scheduled include a chance to crack geodes and sluice for gemstones, and have fun at the Dinosaurs Rock exhibit. The Franklin Mineral Museum is providing ten cases of minerals that glow in the dark.

Dates and times for the show are May 15, 16, and 17, from 12.00 pm until 8.00 pm; May 18, from 10.00 am until 7.00 pm, and May 19, from 10.00 am until 6.00 pm. People who purchase tickets online will be able to enter the Ballrooms, the meeting room, and the Boardroom one hour earlier than general ticket holders. Those who have a business license/sales tax license for B2B sales may enter the Wholesale-Only section an hour early as well. Parking is free for all attendees.

Organizers of shows this size often work with professional printing services for flyer printing services which can create handouts for guests at events like this, including a schedule of events, a list of vendors, and a map of the sales floor.
