The event will be free and family-oriented, with kids welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult. There will be live music by Yosi and the Superdads, a children’s sing-along group whose motto is:
“Faster than a speeding toddler... More powerful than fingerpaint...Able to leap tall piles of laundry... ...while balancing a checkbook and singing in four-part harmony!”
Children can also enjoy the bounce house and engage in Halloween craft making. Afterwards, there will be refreshments on hand, which should be in great demand after all the activity.
The event should be a great opportunity for parents to take photos of their little monsters, perhaps to take to local printing services for duplicates for grandparents. Attendees can be in the Halloween Parade or just watch from the sidelines if they prefer. There will be prizes for first, second, and third place for best costumes.
Also, local community-minded organizations will offer Halloween Safety Tips and giveaways. The event sponsors include The Boro of Highland Park, The Municipal Alliance, and the Highland Park Police Department.
The festival will be held Sunday, October 26, 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Highland Park High School Gym.
