Family fun comes to Edison

A full day of fun is planned in Edison.

The Edison Fall Family Street Fair is hosted by the Edison Recreation Department jointly with the Township of Edison. Part of Amboy Avenue will be blocked off so people can enjoy the fun, making it a literal street fair. Busy outdoor events like this can benefit if organizers use banner printing to create directional Signs.

Among the planned activities is a track for remote-controlled cars, a pro wrestling ring, sand art, face painting, and games and kiddie rides for the children. Adults can enjoy a Wine & Beer Garden along with exhibitors, craftspeople, and food vendors.

Shoppers will be able to browse booths on Amboy Avenue. Vendors here include crafters as well as those selling merchandise such as hair accessories, jewelry, candles, and much more. Civil authorities and local-area merchants will also have exhibits.

Live music is part of the day. Local bands will perform on the local stage, located at the corner of Amboy and Waltuma Avenues. Regional bands will perform on the main stage on 5th Street. Chairs and tables will be set up as well, so people can enjoy a bite while they listen to the music.

Food will be supplied by food trucks, booths, and two food courts. People will find such items as gyros, empanadas, cheesesteak sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, cupcakes, and more.

The fair will stretch between Jackson Avenue and Waltuma Avenue on Amboy Ave, and the date of the fair is September 24, from 11:00 am until 11:00 pm.
