Christmas movies are often dubbed “cheesy,” and an upcoming Edison convention is designed for fans of the cheese.

Christmas Con celebrates holiday films, including new releases, classics, and, particularly, the sleigh full of movies that appear on Hallmark annually. When this year’s convention was still in the planning stages, organizers were thrilled by the response from celebrities, as more than 24 stars are planning to come to the event.

Many of the stars were excited by the news that the cast of “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” Chevy Chase, Beverly D’Angelo, Randy Quaid, and Juliette Lewis, will headline the gathering. This film is a seasonal favorite, and has been listed repeatedly among the top five Christmas films ever made.

Most of the rest of the guest artists are the stars of Hallmark Channel movies. Among them are Catherine Bell, star of the “Good Witch” series of Hallmark films, as well as the TV series “JAG;” and Cameron Mathieson, who appeared on “All My Children” from 1997 to 2011.

Autographs, selfies, contests, and Q&A panels with the stars will be part of the fun.

Christmas Con will be held December 8, 9, and 10 at the New Jersey Expo Center in Edison. The hours are Friday 8th from 2.00pm until 8.00pm, Saturday 9th from 10.00am until 6.00pm, and Sunday 10th from 10.00am until 5.00pm. Organizers of events like this can create colorful advertisements by using poster printing.
