Edison steps back 65 million years

An event featuring some of the world’s most amazing animals is planned in Edison.

The dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago, but they have fascinated people ever since the first fossils were discovered. They have starred in movies from “Godzilla” to “Jurassic Park” and are now going to visit Edison, but have no plans to stomp on it as Godzilla often did to poor Tokyo.

The dinos in question are visiting courtesy of Jurassic Quest, a company that has created life-size dinosaurs and used careful painting and animatronic technology to seemingly bring them to life. Among the attractions at the show are the dinosaurs themselves, which range in size from babies to the towering Spinosaurus, and of course the most iconic of all, the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

In addition to interacting with the dinosaurs, attendees can excavate fossils, train a velociraptor, and children can take a ride on the back of their favorite dinosaur. Several dino “babies” and their trainers will be on hand, and a free craft table will be stocked with supplies to encourage creative visitors to create a dinosaur of their own.

Jurassic Quest will be in Edison at the New Jersey Convention and Expo Center for three days, July 21, from 12.00 pm until 8.00 pm; July 22, from 9.00 am until 8.00 pm; and July 23, from 9.00 am until 4.00 pm. Organizers of events like this can use poster printing to create fun advertising for them.
