Westfield YMCA fundraiser to suit community to a tree

The Westfield Area Y Men’s Club provides a range of programming to the local community, and one of its well-loved traditional fundraisers is set to make its return.

The organization has made arrangements to bring its Christmas Tree Sale back for another year, and all of the profits will be passed along to charitable groups. There will be a selection of species available, and wreaths, grave corners, tree stands, and evergreen roping will also be on offer.

Those who take advantage of the sale will be able to choose from balsam and Fraser firs, as well as several other varieties. “Fralsam”, which is a hybrid cultivar that supplies the benefits of both balsam and Fraser firs species, will be a new addition to the usual line-up. Throughout the years, this annual event has raised funds for the community, and it is hoping that 2020 will be its best one yet.

The tree lot is scheduled to be set up in the Elm Street Athletic Field, and its social distancing and mask wearing protocols will make it possible for everyone to shop in safety. Banner printing and other services that help in making this sort of function a success can be obtained at a local Print shop.

The Westfield Area YMCA holiday tree lot will be up and running from this Saturday, November 28, on into December. The trees will be delivered from Vermont on Friday, and the last day the sale will take place will be December 21.
