Westfield kids invited to let their inner Rembrandt shine

For kids, Westfield winters can seem long, but a series of classes that will be offered in the community can help to keep cabin fever at bay.

They will tap into the children’s creative side, and while the kids learn, they can count on having lots of fun too.

The Westfield Recreation department’s Young Rembrandts Art Classes, which will begin in January, will teach the participants basic drawing skills while engaging their imagination. Each of the sessions will have its own theme, and different skills will be taught in each of the events.

The series of classes will be spread out over eight weeks, and the registration fee is $106. They will be approximately 45 minutes long, and are geared towards kids who are preschool age. Parents or guardians can sign up their child in person or online, and this can be done at the Westfield Recreation offices.

Offering classes like these can help kids to beat the winter blahs, and can introduce them to an activity they can enjoy for their whole life. A poster printing company can help to get the word out about activities like this, and the materials they craft can be posted in prominent locations so that the public will know that it is taking place.

The Westfield Municipal Building will be the location for these sessions that will help kids to bring out their inner Rembrandt, and it is located at 425 East Broad Street. The first class will be held on January 21.
