Westfield festival to honor one of its own
Charles Addams, who is perhaps best known as being the creator of the “Addams Family” comic strip, will be honored during an event held in his own hometown.
The community of Westfield has plans in the works for its 2022 Addamsfest, and the celebration will be filled with a variety of ways to pay homage to Mr. Addams and his work. The whole community is invited to get involved, and both a Family Fun Day and and all-ages movie screening will take place.
Along with the movie and family day, residents can take part by including their home in the Haunt Your House decorating contest running throughout the month. Businesses will be sporting spooky window displays, and a floating recreation of the Addams House will be setting sail on Mindowaskin Pond. An exhibit of art crafted by Charles Addams will be open to the public.
